Zoophilia - why is it still a taboo?

08 Mar, 2019
Zoophilia is considered taboo in many parts of the world; over time there has been stagnant progress in the acceptability of zoosexuals in our society. The argument against zoophiles is centered around consent since the animals cannot visibly or audibly grant consent. But when two animals have sex, there is no form of consent known to humans so how can we define animals consent? Besides, who cares about consent when the same people who point fingers at zoophiles go ahead and kill animals for meat without the animal's consent, they also force breed animals without their consent, isn't it hypocritical to point fingers at zoophiles when you do worst to animals?

What is Zoophilia?

This type of sexual orientation is the sexual attraction of humans towards animals; mostly it is just referred to as mere fetish. No matter how it is defined, most zoophiles have over time created a bound with their animal partners, and there is an apparent fondness between them.

Do zoophiles have a psychological disorder?

It's sad that many people feel that zoophiles are mentally sick when many zoophiles are living among us and they function well in society. So being a zoophile doesn't make you psychologically deformed. Many zoophiles are living among us, according to Kinsey Reports, about 8% of men and 3.6% of women have at one point in their life felt sexually attracted to animals. You may not be able to spot a zoophile until they open up to you, they could be your boss, your friend, your coworker, they live normal lives just like the rest of us.

Acceptance

Zoosexuals have been are faced with the battle of acceptability in the society, as it stands the most of the world greets it with contempt, only a few countries are yet to ban the act. Although, many countries laws are indifferent towards zoosexuals. Zoophiles are currently facing what the LGBT community faced 120 years ago.

Getting married to animals is mostly forbidden, and people into bestiality are discriminated against. It is a shame that zoosexuals face the wrath of the law even if the animals are the one doing the penetration and it's obvious the animals are deriving pleasure.

Once zoophilia or bestiality is mentioned, many people feel there is a cruel sexual relationship going on. That's not always the case, many people are in loving relationships with their pets, they care for their needs and treat them just like they would treat a human lover, so there is nothing inhumane about having sex with animals.

About Consent:

Is this suppose to be an issue? Do we think of consent when we kill animals for meat? Do we ask for consent when we make animals our pets? Do we ask for consent when we use them for experimental purposes or force them to breed?. Dogs, for instance, there is no consent when we turn them into guide dogs, there is also no consent when we race horses or use them as labor in farms.

Issue of Cruelty

People argue that zoophiles harm animals during intercourse. This is not true because many zoophiles out there are very tender and showed love and care to their partners. Besides many animals like dogs, dolphins and apes tend to initiate sex towards humans, that's enough evidence that they like it, and most male dogs tend to show zest by eagerly initiating sex with their partners. Besides animals to animals cause harm to each other when initiating sex, and it is normal to them, male dogs have sex with bitch even when she's not on heat.

Marriage

Marriage should be a matter of choice rather than what most religious people and traditionalist would define. Marriage should not be gender specific, nor must it involves only two humans. What matters is our happiness. There is no logical reason why people shouldn't be given a chance to spend their lives with an animal they love.

Morality

If there is no morality for having sex with animals, where is the morality for forced breeding? Where is the morality for hunting and killing animals for meat? How can showing love and care to an animal be a worse crime than killing animals and using them for forced labor or breeding?
Zoophilia is not all about having sex with animals; it goes deeper than that; it takes a lot of nurturing of emotions, and buildings of feelings over the years. So when you hear of sexual cruelty towards an animal, don't let that build a perception towards zoophiles, because in life there are good and there are bad people. So there are many people who are genuinely in love with their animal partners.

Bestiality in Europe

Finland, Hungary, and Romania are three EU countries where sexual activities with animals are still legal. Many other European countries have placed a ban on every form of sexual relationship with animals; you risk going to jail for being zoosexual.

Finland stands out as the hub for bestially in Europe; it is legal as long as the animals don't get harmed in the process. Finland remains a destination for zoosexuals as many people are trooping in from all over Europe. Many companies in Finland are offering animals out for sex. It is required for those companies first to prove that the animals are not treated cruelly and roughly.

Finding Fulfilment in Animals

It is not uncommon to see single and elderly women own big dogs; these dogs play significant roles in the lives of their owners; they serve as friends, companions and in some cases sexual partners. At a time where those elderly women would have retired from having a relationship with humans, or find it difficult to have human partners, they turn to their loyal companions.

Dogs can be great sexual partners; a dog can give and receive oral sex; they are also capable of vaginal penetration. When indulging in sex with a dog, it is ideal that you cover its hands to avoid scratch.
